The impressive building of the castle Dobříš is an unglancable dominating feature of the Central Bohemia, and attracts from its close and further surroundings all fans of history, families with kids and whole groups of its admirors. The today’s rococo appearance of the castle comes from the half of the 18th century and since then it has belonged to the line of Colloredo – Mannsfeld. Welcome to our Zoo areal which is situated in a picturesque valley of the river Jihlávka. Fanciful exposition of animals is only 10 min. walk from the centre of the town. In a while you will find yourselves in the middle of the countryside with water areas, woody slopes, meadows and rocks. The zoo without rails is the home for next to 150 species of exotic animals, including the species threatened by extinction. We specialize in raising felines, reptiles and monkeys.

The zoo in Liberec is the oldest zoo in the former area of Czechoslovakia. It was founded in 1919 and presently it can be proud cca 170 animal species of the total number of nearly 1.000 specimen. Except for the wide exposition in particular specific pavilions (the pavilions of giraffes, elephants, beasts, monkeys or trops) we ensure tutorials for schools, and you can also find here the wide offer of ecological educational programms. In the lower part of the zoo you can get on a small train, the favourite department is also the contact zoo where the visitors can even pet or feed some animals.
