The Lipno lake is situated in the Protected Landscape Area Bohemian Forest and is rightly called the South-Bohemian sea. The bobsleigh track is open year-round directly in Lipno, also the water plant Lipno is open to the public (June-September). Even Lipno surroundings attract by many interesting places worth visiting: Vítkův stone, Plešné lake, Bear Rock, Schwarzenberg canal or village Horní Plana, where you can visit the writer Adalbert Stifter´s birthplace with an exposure, which is dedicated to him.
